About the role
ChristianaCare's School Based Health Centers is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. As a Medical Assistant I , you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care. This is a P art-Time Benefits Eligible role. The Medical Assistant works a 40 hour schedule per week for 42 weeks in a year. The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical and administrative tasks, such as assisting with exams, and maintaining exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access. As a Medical Assistant I , you’ll play an essential role in providing high-quality care and supporting better patient outcomes each day. What you'll bring
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
