About the role

This role will provide consistent, Christ-centered worship leadership for student services while helping create an environment where students can Know Jesus, Grow in their relationship with Jesus and others, and Serve others inside and outside of the church. The Student Worship Associate will lead worship for student ministry gatherings, recruit and develop student and adult worship team members, coordinate weekly worship preparation, and serve as a worship leader during select Sunday services at The Avenue.

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated personal faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to Christian ministry.
• Experience leading worship in a church, student ministry, or similar ministry setting.
• Strong vocal and/or instrumental ability.
• Ability to lead a worship team with confidence, humility, and organization.
• Ability to work effectively with students, volunteers, and church staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare independently and meet weekly deadlines.
• Commitment to theological and musical excellence appropriate to The Avenue’s ministry context.
• Experience leading worship specifically within a student ministry.
• Experience developing and mentoring student musicians and worship leaders.
• Familiarity with Planning Center.
• Experience working within a multi-site church environment.
