Responsible for the operation of the YWCA York’s Emergency Shelter facility when on duty. The work involves providing support and presenting options to residents and clients in a trauma-informed manner. Must be dedicated to the mission of YWCA York.

What you'll bring

• Must be dedicated to the mission of YWCA York.
• Must hold scheduled fire evacuation drill monthly and orient new residents to evacuation procedures.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Must complete PCAR/PCCD/PCADV advocate training within 90 days of employment.
• Skill in the provision of services to victims of domestic violence in crisis
• strong decision-making ability.
• Ability to supervise and work cooperatively with other staff members.
