About the role

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Area Manager and Senior Project Manager with a focus on Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation, covering our Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas geography. The position is for a dual-role professional responsible for driving team performance while simultaneously contributing to project execution and delivery. Area Managers are responsible for overseeing the performance of a group of major programs and/or projects to assure the achievement of internal and client-facing performance indicators. What you'll bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Geology, Environmental Science Engineering, or related field AND (8) eight years of experience in a technical discipline with a proven track record in both project management and business development.
  • Strong knowledge and track record in the environmental / remediation business inclusive of risk-based strategic asset management and advocacy in multiple state jurisdictions working for an Environmental Consultant
  • Master's Degree
  • A registered PE or PG in Texas and/or Louisiana
  • 15+ years related experience
  • A broad range of site characterization and remediation experience across multiple market sectors
  • Experienced people manager and team builder
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
