About the role
We are seeking one experienced Oncology/Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care at the NIH Clinical Center. This is a 13-week contract assignment with the possibility of a long-term or full-time opportunity based on performance and continued staffing needs.
What you'll bring
- Active, valid, and unrestricted RN license issued by at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth
- Associate degree, nursing diploma, or bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Two to three years of oncology or hospice nursing experience in an acute-care hospital
- Demonstrated current competency in oncology or hospice nursing
- Effective English communication skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic clinical documentation
- Selected candidates must satisfy NIH credentialing, health, immunization, security, fingerprinting, background-investigation, and facility-access requirements.
- All required licenses, certifications, competencies, and health documentation must remain current throughout the assignment.
- Chemotherapy and biotherapy experience
- Current chemotherapy/biotherapy provider certification
