About the role
This position is contingent upon award of contract** SOSi is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support mission requirements for a structured approach to further develop, integrate, and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem that enhances interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics for a DoD customer. The primary objective of the program is to bridge the operational gaps between DoD, IC, interagency, and non-traditional international partners to enable real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-tailored analytical capabilities.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in DevOps engineering.
- Knowledge and capability to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure management, and ensure scalable deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Proficient in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline).
- Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), security best practices, and monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is required.
- Experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, automating cloud infrastructure, and implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with microservices architecture, service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), and observability tools is required.
- Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
