About the role
FMI’s Strategy Practice is seeking a high-energy, experienced Senior Consultant to join its growing Energy & Power team. FMI partners with leading organizations across the built environment to deliver strategic insights, drive growth, and solve complex business challenges. The Senior Consultant plays a critical leadership role on client engagements, serving as the project manager and primary driver of execution from kickoff through completion. This individual is responsible for ensuring successful delivery against project scope, timelines, and client expectations, while maintaining FMI’s high standards of quality and impact. This is a full-time opportunity based in our Denver, CO office; however, we are also open to exceptional candidates who can be based out of one of our other offices in Tampa, FL, Houston, TX, or fully remote. Travel requirements may reach up to 75%, depending on client needs. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- 5–8 years of consulting experience within the energy and power industry
- Proven project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing others
- Experience with major capital projects (e.g., generation, transmission & distribution, gas transmission, data centers) preferred
- master’s degree preferred
