About the role

Spectrum Control, Inc. (SCI) is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Corporate Security Specialist to serve as the primary Facility Security Officer and security program lead for the Philadelphia, PA facility and as the company-wide owner for personnel security clearance administration across U.S. sites. This role reports to the Corporate Security Manager and is part of the Global Trade & Security team responsible for maintaining compliant security processes and controls in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and other regulatory requirements. This is a blended full-time role: Approximately 70% Philadelphia site FSO/security program management and 30% corporate security clearance management. This position will be the primary security point of contact for Philadelphia while also standardizing clearance intake, renewal tracking, database hygiene, and personnel security clearance (PCL) administration across cleared sites.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • equivalent experience considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial security
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain Secret eligibility
  • DCSA/CDSE FSO training, or ability to complete required training within 6 months of appointment to FSO position.
  • Solid working knowledge of NISP, NISPOM / 32 CFR Part 117, and core concepts of facility, personnel, physical, and information security.
  • Strong understanding of the personnel security clearance lifecycle, including intake, investigation initiation, Continuous Vetting updates, renewal tracking, and out-processing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, records, and stakeholders across several sites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • able to provide training and explain security requirements clearly to employees, managers, and site leaders.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment when handling classified, controlled, personal, or sensitive information.
