About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Vehicle Packaging team in developing world‑class designs for high‑volume automation equipment. This role involves design, optimization, prototyping, and validation of innovative solutions to deliver components safely and efficiently throughout supply chain and manufacturing processes.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience from concept through production validation
- Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools (CATIA, Pro‑Engineer, ANSYS)
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis, and design for manufacturing (DFM)
- Familiarity with multiple manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, welding)
- Experience with reliability design, durability testing, and automation equipment
