About the role
The Class-A Truck Driver will serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. In this role, you will be required to transfer company goods between our facilities, pick up orders from suppliers, and deliver goods to our customers in our company 53ft truck, trailer, and box truck. We are looking for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will be hard working, punctual, dependable, self-motivated, self-managed, organized, flexible, and looking for a long-term commitment to grow within a growing company. What you'll bring
- Valid Class-A California driver license.
- Proven work experience as a truck driver.
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc).
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations.
- No recent moving or driving violations.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc).
- Experience driving Class-A vehicles.
- Physical Requirements: You must have good hearing, at least 20/40 vision with glasses or corrective lenses, and a 70-degree field of vision in each eye.
- Drivers cannot be colorblind.
- Truck drivers must have a strong sense of spatial relations to park their vehicles and negotiate tight spaces.
- Communications Skills: All drivers must be able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, prepare reports, and communicate with law enforcement officers and the public.
