About the role
As a Forklift Operator at BWT Logistics, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our warehouse facility. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, load, and unload various materials, products, and equipment. You will collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure the timely and accurate movement of goods while maintaining high productivity and adhering to safety protocols. What you'll bring
- Valid forklift operator certification or license in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and inventory records.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and operating machinery for extended periods.
- Experience with RF scanner technology and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with clamp trucks and stand-up forklifts.
- Previous experience in transportation and warehousing industry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, if required.
- Preferred skills like familiarity with warehouse management systems and flexible scheduling enhance the operator's ability to adapt to dynamic warehouse environments and improve operational flow.
