About the role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder / Fabricator to join our clients 2nd shift maintenance team. This position will work closely with our diesel mechanics to repair, reinforce, and fabricate components for a fleet of garbage and refuse trucks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and can work independently in a fast-paced shop environment. What you'll bring
- Previous welding and fabrication experience required
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Ability to use grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and fabrication tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Experience with MIG welding preferred
- Refuse truck or waste industry experience
- Structural steel fabrication
- Manufacturing or industrial welding
