About the role
We’re on the lookout for passionate self‑starters who thrive in fast‑moving, collaborative, and innovative environments. The Maximo Business System Owner is the principle point of stakeholder coordination and end-user system management for the PAA instance of the Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. They play a critical collaboration, planning, and work execution role between the Operations, Commercial (Trucking), and IS teams to ensure that operational business requirements are properly captured, related system functions are enabled, and system configurations changes made by IS are adopted effectively by the respective business teams. Their portfolio of oversight and execution of work within Maximo spans three core areas of End-user Management, Data Management, and System Configuration Change Management. This is an office-based role but requires a detailed understanding of field operations, maintenance, and safety work practices, as well as detailed technical knowledge of Maximo and related technology elements (e.g., system data structures, system administration / security practices, system configuration testing, etc.). This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of their employment.
What you'll bring
- Requires a 4-year college degree in STEM or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a technical analysis, maintenance / reliability, or engineering role.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English and the ability to perform basic math.
- Detailed knowledge across a broad range of field operations, maintenance, and safety work practices.
- Experience managing end users, data, and system configurations for EAM and related software platforms.
- Ability to work in a team-based work environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of Plains’ O&M Manual, specifications, and forms used to document inspection and maintenance activities.
- Must have a detailed knowledge of the Maximo EAM platform and related technologies.
- Must have comprehensive computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite with strong emphasis on Excel and/or other spreadsheet applications.
- Must be familiar with PHMSA and OSHA regulations as well as Plains’ operating procedures.
- Must have an outstanding safety record.
- Ability to successfully complete company training as assigned.
