About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer on the Hardware Advanced Development Team at WHOOP, you will contribute to the design and development of WHOOP’s innovative hardware solutions. You will push the boundaries of technology by driving product innovation from conceptual prototypes to manufacturing-ready designs. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to help bring innovative concepts to life, supporting prototyping, mechanical design, and testing efforts. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with a solid technical foundation to grow their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to impactful projects in early-stage product development.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in the design of complex mechanical products
- Experience with SolidWorks, or transferable CAD program
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools to craft proof-of-concept models.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working on cross-functional teams.
- Working understanding of SolidWorks best practices, including advanced assemblies, surfacing, configuration management and applying DFx feedback.
- Familiarity with validation testing methods and statistical analysis tools.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal design, metal injection molding) and manual assembly.
- This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA.
- The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
