About the role

As Malt accelerates its international expansion, you will drive the engineering transformation required to support complex, top-down Enterprise capabilities. In this role, you will take full ownership of the delivery, technical efficiency, and growth of 1–2 high-impact product squads (8–10 engineers). You will shape system architecture strategy—leading core decoupling initiatives—while elevating delivery standards and empowering your team to scale.

• Strong engineering curiosity and system design
• you bring the technical depth to challenge estimates, audit architectural trade-offs, and diagnose performance drops beyond surface-level reporting.
• Lead gradual organizational transitions and build trust, combined with genuine, ongoing technical curiosity
• you still enjoy actively testing technologies, reading, and exploring topics
• Languages: Native level in English.

• Technical case and debrief with staff engineers to validate your mastery of technical and architectural subjects
• Final interview with Claire (CTO) to discuss Malt’s long-term vision (interview at the Paris office)
