About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in engineering, architecture, or construction who thrives on solving complex challenges and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. In this role, you will coordinate and support multi-disciplinary engineering projects from planning through construction closeout. You’ll play a key part in project schedules, technical coordination, and quality assurance, ensuring seamless collaboration between in-house engineers and architectural partners. As an employee-owner, your technical contributions will directly impact project success and the growth of our firm.
What you'll bring
- The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Iowa (or ability to obtain licensure within 60 days).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and commercial electrical design software.
- Strong experience in commercial electrical system design, including power, lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and client management abilities.
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
- Licensure in multiple states.
- CLD (Certified Lighting Designer), CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.
- Experience in ComCheck, energy modeling, arc flash studies, and electrical coordination studies.
- Familiarity with ETAP/SKM software and AutoCAD MEP.
