About the role

Apex Companies LLC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer with experience leading the design and project management of local agency and/or state transportation projects, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects from planning through construction. This role offers the opportunity to step into an established transportation practice, partnering closely with our Vancouver office leadership and multidisciplinary team to grow our presence throughout Southwest Washington.

What you'll bring

• 8 + years' experience as a consulting engineer providing design and project management of local agency or state transportation projects
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and professional registration (P.E) in Washington and/or Oregon
• A solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints.
• A proven history of meeting project timelines and budgets.
• Demonstrated skills developing relationships with local municipalities and utilities
• Familiarity with local code requirements
• Ability to develop creative engineering solutions to address project constraints
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management.
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, HyrdoCAD, WWHM2012
