ProSidian Seeks a Mechanical Engineer - Engineering (DA108) (Time and Materials | Exempt Engagement Team - Senior Consultant Level) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. - DA108 | Prof. This position is located in the Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina Area. Mechanical Engineer - Engineering (DA108) Candidates shall work to support requirements for TBC (Engineering Services) and statement of work (SOW) while maintaining required qualifications Nuclear & Environmental Management Sector. ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of the Mechanical Engineer Engagement Team Cadre to serve as a Mechanical Engineer responsible for performing a variety of Mechanical Engineering assignments, including design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of various process equipment and systems, and generally as a member of a design, construction, operations, or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex projects. In addition, support and engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which the US Department of Energy owns. A Mechanical Engineer ensures that all mechanical systems work safely and efficiently to meet user needs. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of engineering assignments, including design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse process equipment and systems, and generally as a member of a design, construction, operations, or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments. Additionally, Mechanical Engineers design equipment and create the operating procedures used in nuclear power plants. A Mechanical Engineer, or Facilities Mechanical Engineer, designs, builds, and tests various mechanical devices, like industrial machines, transportation systems, and robotics equipment. Their main duties include locating problems with various machinery, conducting experiments to improve different product designs, and using CAD technology to build product designs. The Mechanical Engineer will also work to provide engineering support services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams.
