About the role

This position will work at Anoka County Jail, located at 325 East Jackson Street, Anoka, MN 55303.

What you'll bring

• Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
• Must undergo, and pass, a thorough physical and psychological examination and successfully complete a background investigation.
• Ability to detect, discern, and tolerate a wide range of scents required for safety and performance of essential duties.
• Cognitive abilities required include problem solving, prioritization of tasks, short- and long-term memory, interpreting and understanding written documents, and general mathematical skills.
• Applicants may be required to sign an informed consent form allowing the County to obtain to conduct such screenings and/or verify their qualifications in connection with the position sought.
• Applicants who do not sign the informed consent form will not be further considered for the position.
• Secondary education in corrections, law enforcement, criminal justice, behavioral/social science or related field.
• Evidence-Based Practice Corrections Professional Certification from an accredited school.
• Experience using de-escalation techniques in a work setting.
• Previous work-related experience.
• Knowledge of CPR principles, procedures and techniques.
• Possess an Advanced First Aid certification.
