About the role

At Yazio, we're looking for a Senior Internal Tooling Engineer to turn repetitive work into intelligent systems. This role is 100% remote and open to candidates based in Germany, Spain, Portugal or the U.K.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years building modern web applications end to end
• High level of hands-on AI knowledge—LLMs, RAG (such as pgvector), prompt engineering, model routing (such as OpenRouter) and frameworks like LangChain—with experience shipping AI-driven features in production
• Transformative mindset toward AI-based workflows, with a focus on agentic coding: you use AI to boost your productivity while maintaining high software standards
• Strong track record of end-to-end ownership: you organize delivery from scoping to launch, anticipate downstream effects and act proactively without waiting for permission
• Pragmatic: you build the smallest valuable piece first, prioritize ruthlessly and leave the code better than you found it even while moving fast
• True product-engineer mindset: obsessed with the user experience and the "why" behind what you build, comfortable with product metrics and driven to make a measurable impact
• Excellent communicator who explains complex technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical partners and documents effectively in writing
• ideally with Go and HTMX (plus Python), and comfortable owning distributed, asynchronous systems (queuing, background processing)
