About the role

Work Authorization: One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore, this position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who do not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship including, but not limited to, H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.

What you'll bring

• Candidates must have participated in and completed a Cigna Group internship prior to applying for this position.
• Must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field at the time of hire.
• Technical Skills: • Understanding of data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with SQL for database querying and management
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Awareness of data governance, data quality, and data integrity principles
• Courses & Experiences: Academic coursework, internships, or projects focused on data engineering, analytics, or large‑scale data systems.
• Leadership or involvement in clubs, organizations, hackathons, technical competitions, or research projects.
• Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
• Clear Communication: Effectively share ideas with technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaboration & Inclusion: Build strong relationships and work well on diverse teams.
