About the role

OMNI is seeking a Senior Satellite Subsystems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support for a high-priority national security space program. The selected candidate will serve as the Government Program Office’s technical representative for one or more spacecraft subsystems, supporting system design, development, integration, testing, and mission readiness activities throughout the program lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Government, contractor, and SETA teams to ensure successful delivery of advanced space capabilities supporting critical national security missions. What you'll bring

  • This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Government, contractor, and SETA teams to ensure successful delivery of advanced space capabilities supporting critical national security missions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline with 14 years of relevant experience
  • or a Master’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong systems engineering experience supporting spacecraft design, development, integration, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one spacecraft subsystem area, including Structures and Mechanisms, Electrical Power Systems, ADCS, Thermal Control Systems, C&DH, or Propulsion Systems.
  • Experience supporting spacecraft integration, pre-launch testing, requirements verification, and system functionality checkout activities. •
  • Strong analytical, communication, and briefing skills with the ability to engage effectively across Government, contractor, and SETA organizations.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment supporting complex space systems.
  • Previous Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) experience supporting Government Program Offices.
  • Experience supporting multiple spacecraft subsystems or spacecraft command-and-control (C2) operations.
