About the role
The company supports a diverse portfolio of government programs and is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead its financial operations, government contract accounting, compliance, reporting, and strategic financial planning. The Director of Finance will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, accounting, compliance, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in Deltek Costpoint, government contracting, and financial operations within a manufacturing and distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a process-improvement mindset, and the ability to partner with executive leadership to support continued organizational growth.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- Expert-level experience with Deltek Costpoint is required.
- Extensive experience supporting government contractors.
- Strong understanding of DCAA compliance, FAR regulations, indirect rate structures, and cost-plus accounting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with executive leadership.
- CPA, CFA, CGFM, or CMA designation preferred.
- Experience with inventory management, manufacturing, or product distribution finance is highly preferred.
- Manufacturing & Product-Based Accounting: Experience supporting financial operations within a manufacturing, product-based, distribution, or similarly complex operating environment, including familiarity with inventory, cost accounting, procurement, and related financial controls, is strongly preferred.
