About the role

Onsite – Buffalo, NY Our team in  Space and Defense Group  is looking for an  Assembly & Test (A&T)  Engineering Technician  to join them . You will report to the Sr. Operations Coordinator and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY. As  an  A&T Engineering Technician , you will:

What you'll bring

• Otherwise,  demonstrated  ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and  demonstrated  ability to perform simple addition, subtraction,  multiplication  and division.
• At least 5 years of relevant A&T experience.
• Perform development hydraulic test and assembly approximately 40-50% of the time to ensure department requirements and turnaround times are met.
• Provide engineering support to solve challenging problems on a complex product  line and  serve as the primary point of contact for any questions or concerns from Assembly & Test personnel.
• Provide technical guidance to Assembly & Test personnel and serve as an assembly process expert for inquiries from all functions,  utilizing  strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Support Assembly & Test operations by performing product and process improvement projects.
• Ensure product inte grity of all hardware on the product line through failure investigations and escalations when  required, using hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Provide clear production instructions to Assembly & Test personnel to  maintain  efficiency including formal Work Instructions and Electronic Historical Record (EHR) entries.
• Work directly with engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• P eriodically work  additional  hours to support program goals and product demand  as needed.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• A ccredited technical  d egree preferred
