About the role
FOX Television Stations is looking for Regional Digital Content Creators to create and optimize content for four FOX owned-and-operated stations in the Midwest. As a Regional Digital Content Creator, you will coordinate with teams in Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis to publish stories, videos, and social content to engage with local users. You will be hyper-focused on quickly writing, producing and efficiently sharing compelling, easy-to-consume stories and information for digital and social users across the region. This position is based in our Eden Prairie, Minnesota newsroom and reports into the Midwest Regional Digital Content Director.
What you'll bring
- 3-5 years of experience developing, optimizing and publishing content, including news, on digital and social platforms.
- Proficiency in content management systems, search engine optimization (SEO), video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytics tools.
- Impeccable writing and copy-editing skills with superior news judgement
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive under deadline pressures in a fast paced newsroom environment
- Top notch communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Social media expertise
- Video and photo editing experience.
- Familiarity with the Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minnesota markets.
- BA/BS degree preferably in journalism, communications or related field with an emphasis on digital publishing.
