About the role
The CNC Operator / Fabricator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Company's CNC machining equipment, including the Weeke Optimat BHP 200 CNC Router, to manufacture high-quality plastic, composite and related components used in skylight systems and other custom products. The position is responsible for machine setup, program execution, material preparation, quality inspection and general fabrication duties while supporting production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives. The CNC Operator / Fabricator works closely with production, engineering and quality personnel to ensure products are manufactured accurately, efficiently and in accordance with customer specifications.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating CNC routers or machining centres in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience reading manufacturing drawings and specifications.
- Ability to safely operate CNC manufacturing equipment.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming concepts.
- Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good mathematical and measuring skills.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
