About the role
We are looking for an Associate Director, Product Management leader, to join the Secure Tactical Communications organization within Mission Systems. The Secure Information Solutions (SIS) portfolio delivers Encryption and Secure Networking solutions, supporting major U.S. Government service branches and other forces around the globe. As a cornerstone area of the business, the portfolio provides capabilities that enable mission effectiveness by keeping data and communications secure. This position leads a team of Product Managers within the Secure Tactical Communications organization under Resilient Connectivity Products in Mission Systems. The role drives product strategy and execution across the full RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) framework, covering long-range business planning, pursuit and capture, program and delivery performance, and sustainment. The Product Manager provides leadership across the entire product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, financial commitments, and strategic growth priorities. Qualified candidates should bring strong program and product management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex portfolios, and balance technical understanding with business acumen. Success in this role requires coaching and developing teams, applying strategic insight, and enabling sound decision making in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. This is an Onsite role leading a team located in El Segundo & Fullerton, California, Largo, Florida, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and other domestic locations. The ability to lead a distributed team while being connected to the business is imperative. What you'll bring
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required.
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Program Management with Profit and Loss responsibility
- EVMS experience
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition and communication style
- Strong understanding of the National Security Agency (NSA) certification and approval process
- Experience briefing senior leadership (SBU Vice President and SBU President Level) and external customers
- Active U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance
- Strength in interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience with hardware and/or software project planning and execution
- Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
