About the role

The Women & Children Resource Pool  consists of 3 subset teams known as “Pods” (Labor & Delivery Pod, NICU Pod, and Mother Baby/Pediatric/Step Down NICU Pod).  The team works within the Women & Children service areas of Northeast Georgia Healthcare System and will report to our Gainesville, Braselton, and/or Demorest (Habersham) locations.  Each “pod” is specialized according to patient population and requires 2 years of RN experience in L&D. The Gainesville Labor and Delivery Unit, consisting of 18 labor/delivery/recovery beds, 8 triage beds, 4 operating rooms and 6 PACU bays. The Braselton Labor and Delivery Unit, consisting of 10 labor/delivery/recovery, 2 triage beds, 2 operating rooms and 2 PACU bays. The Habersham LDRP (Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum) unit consists of 9 labor/delivery/recovery/post-partum beds, 1 triage bed, and a 2 bed well baby nurserys. What you'll bring

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
• At least 2 years of RN experience – Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
• Delivery of safe, effective, efficient care that meets population specific guidelines
• Actively works to make own and related teams successful, effectively communicates with patients, families and colleagues at all levels, shows consideration and respect or others and fosters customer service
• Effectively prioritizes, recognizes problems, and utilizes evidence based practice
• Demonstrates personal mastery, leadership of self and others, as appropriate, delegates appropriately, and supports NGHS shared governance model
• Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit
• previous specialty experience preferred, focused on expanding knowledge and skills.
