About the role

As an Executive Underwriter within our Ocean Marine practice, you will play an integral role within the Marine Liabilities, Hull & Machinery Division responsible for driving profitable growth, underwriting excellence, broker engagement, and working with Middle & Large colleagues creating cross sell opportunities. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex marine risks while serving as a trusted advisor to brokers, clients, and internal business partners. You will work collaboratively across underwriting, claims, risk engineering, and distribution teams to develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs while achieving portfolio profitability objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a customer-first mindset, strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, and a passion for developing both people and business opportunities.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory as needed.
• 5+ years of Marine Liabilities, Hull & Machinery, and/or Ocean Marine underwriting experience
• Marine insurance designations such as CPCU, ARM, AMIM, or equivalent.
• Established network within the Ocean Marine marketplace.
• Experience leading underwriting teams, mentoring talent, and influencing organizational initiatives.
