About the role

AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager / Senior Water Resources Engineer with 7+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Herndon, VA office . The right candidate would lead water resources engineering tasks for transportation-related projects for Virginia and Maryland DOT and municipalities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to lead, manage and deliver challenging projects in the growing Virginia and Maryland markets and grow into a management position.

What you'll bring

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources.
• Minimum of 7 years of water resources related experience including plan and report production.
• Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (storm drainage, SWM, floodplain, bridge) with commonly used software.
• CADD experience with MicroStation / OpenRoads required.
• Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Virginia Licensed Professional Engineer required, Maryland preferred
• VDOT experience highly preferred.
