About the role

We are seeking an SLS Engine Interface Systems Engineer to join our team! Provide systems engineering support for SLS engines hardware development, operations and reporting for all vehicle configurations. This position directly supports the SLS Interfaces Sublead on behalf of the Systems Design & Definition Branch (EV72). This support will include participation in engineering reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), technical performance meetings, working groups and trade studies.

What you'll bring

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering, or in a related technical discipline synergistic with data analysis
• Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a BS with at least 5 total years of relevant experience in systems engineering and interface definition/verification
• At least 3 total years of relevant experience working in propulsion hardware development
• Knowledge of systems engineering life cycle end-to-end development ranging from requirements development, functional design, hardware integration, and requirements verification.
• The ideal candidate will have some experience developing and delivering executive level briefings, will have negotiation skills demonstrated through technical problem solving, and will have demonstrated ability to breakdown problems or issues into manageable pieces
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, customer relation skills, and presentation skills are required
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook) are required
• Personnel are required to be self-motivated, effective team players familiar with working in a dynamic work environment
