About the role
The Behavioral Health Medication Technician (BHMT) is responsible for providing direct care and support to patients in a residential behavioral health setting. This role requires accurately reading and understanding medication orders, as well as monitoring and documenting patient self-administration of medications. The BHMT ensures proper retrieval, storage, and disposal of medications in compliance with established policies and procedures. In addition, this position supports patient care by observing behaviors, reporting concerns as appropriate, and assisting with various treatment-related activities.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience
- Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.
- Coursework or degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or a related field preferred.
- QMA Certification required
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification
- strongly preferred.
