About the role

This position is contingent upon Customer approval, funding, and/or position availability. This position will be responsible perform and direct employees to successfully operate, maintain, and repair all Fire Suppression Systems, Fire Pump Systems, and accessory systems for pump houses, building interiors, and exteriors. The Fire Suppression Supervisor will report to the Fire Alarm Systems Supervisor.

What you'll bring

  • Three (3) years conducting either installation or inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based suppression systems.
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a Fire Sprinkler Mechanic or Fire Suppression Mechanic.
  • Two (2) years in a supervisory role leading a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and NFPA 291.
  • Ability to interpret and comply with IFC, OSHA, NFPA: 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17A, 17, 70, 70E, and 101.
  • Knowledge of applicable US Codes and accepted trade practices.
  • Ability to obtain Notifier and Ansul R102 manufacturer certification.
  • Ability to obtain manufacturer training certifications for various fire suppression equipment.
  • Good organizational, time management, and communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to write equipment/ system condition assessment reports and communicate directly with the customer providing expert level communications and solutions.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
