About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Embedded Engineering Manager, Home Networking to lead the creation and optimization of next-generation residential gateway. Leveraging your expertise in embedded systems, you’ll play a key role in building an exceptional ecosystem. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the software development lifecycle from concept to delivery. You will also manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering innovation and ensuring successful project outcomes. By staying up to date with industry trends, you will contribute to the growth and success of TP-Link’s consumer networking product line.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, network protocols, and related algorithms.
- Proficiency in embedded software programming using C/C++, with a strong understanding of coding best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
- Hands-on experience developing networking products, including access points, routers, and switches.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and make tough decisions.
- Experience leading the design, building and deployment of complex and performant (scalable and reliable) software solutions in production.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
- Proven track record of bringing consumer networking products from design to market.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication of technical concepts and ideas.
