About the role
Starting wage is based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the company’s truck with a typical weight capacity of 30-55,000 pounds (GVW). This role is responsible for all functions related to the vehicle, including the pre-trip report (DVIR), ensuring the truck is loaded properly, the material is secured to the truck, delivery of materials to the customer location, and processing of all customer delivery paperwork. This is a full-time position that requires overtime as business needs dictate.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving.
- Possession of a CDL (type A or B) Commercial driver’s license.
- Proficient in driving manual transmission trucks.
- Capability to operate a gate lift.
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack.
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries.
- Ability to service all region’s distribution centers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Travel is required for this position.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of forklift experience
