About the role
We are looking for a SIM Engineer Level I with hands-on experience in SIM and eSIM technologies. You will join a dynamic SIM Engineering team and play a key role in delivering Cubic³ solutions within the evolving SIM/eSIM Remote SIM Provisioning technology domain. The SIM Engineer Level I will contribute to building advanced connectivity solutions, managing SIM/eSIM card logistics and fulfilment, and providing technical support to our global customers. You will work directly with the latest developments in eSIM and emerging connectivity standards.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
- 3+ years of relevant experience in telecoms technology, connectivity, or related sectors
- Proven experience with SIM/eSIM technologies and protocols (APDU, ISO 7816)
- Knowledge of 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards
- Experience with Java, Java Card, or scripting languages
- Familiarity with mobile network elements and smart card technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Git, Postman, or smart card test tools (e.g., Comprion)
- Exposure to Kanban/Agile methodologies
- New hires at Cubic³ are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working.
