About the role
We are seeking a Bartender to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Bartender will be responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, maintaining stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment. The ideal candidate is a driver of Forbes standards and will exemplify the values and beliefs of Eau Resort & Spa. We have a full-time position available. This role is a flexible position (AM/PM), and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and nights. This role is designated for our lobby restaurant, Stir.
What you'll bring
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- One-year(s) experience as a Bartender or Bar back.
- Food Handling Certificate.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, management and co-workers to ensure mutual understanding.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Certification of previous training in liquor
- Ability to understand guests' service needs.
- Ability to access and input information into Micros system.
- Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when preparing drinks and providing service to guests within any given period of time.
- Ability to focus on details.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in determining potentially intoxicated guests.
