About the role
We are seeking a Utility Steward to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Utility Steward will be responsible for completing special cleaning projects as assigned, following hotel specifications and standards. This role will include cleaning and maintaining equipment and dishwashing/kitchen/cafeteria/compactor/storage areas, while assisting in other stewarding functions as assigned. We have a Full-Time opening available. This role is a A .M. position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays and mornings/midday shifts. Work Schedule — 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
What you'll bring
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to ensure mutual understanding.
- Ability to count.
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
- Previous experience in janitorial/cleaning position.
- Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations.
- Certification in sanitation.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Ability to perform duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and cooperativeness.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to adapt to meet priority changes of workflow or requirements.
- Ability to operate designated machinery.
- Ability to remain extremely alert while operating machinery.
