About the role
We are hiring skilled trades professionals to step into a rewarding role as an Electrical Technician Instructor, helping train the next generation of electricians and technicians. As an Electrical Technician Instructor (Electrician Instructor / Electrical Trainer), you will deliver classroom and hands-on lab instruction covering electrical systems, safety, and industry best practices. This role is ideal for licens ed electricians, electrical technicians, maintenance electricians, and skilled trades professionals who want to combine technical expertise with teaching and mentorship.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in the electrical trade OR three (3) years of teaching experience in electrical or related programs
- Strong understanding of electrical tools, systems, codes, and safety practices
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on student engagement and instructional clarity
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Positive and professional attitude, with a commitment to student success
- National Center for Construction Education and Research (The NCCER ICTP Certification is required before instructors start teaching classes.
- Company will pay for certification.)
- OSHA 30-hour safety certification within 6 months of hire date.
- CPR certification current or within 3 months of hire date.
