About the role
As a Senior Forward Deployed Scientist in our Supply Chain & Retail business, you’ll work directly with some of the world’s biggest retailers and manufacturers on hard, high-stakes problems: demand forecasting, price and promotion optimisation, and supply-chain decisioning. You’ll own the science end-to-end — from understanding a customer’s messy reality to shipping something that changes how they operate. We’re looking for builders — smart, switched-on people who want to be handed a genuinely hard real-world challenge and go to town on it. If you want to work at the frontier of applied AI, own something that matters, and see your work land with real customers and shape a product, this is for you.
What you'll bring
- Strong track record applying ML / data science to real-world commercial problems
- The instinct to own outcomes, not tasks — you take an ambiguous problem and drive it to a result rather than waiting to be told the next step.
- Fluent programming (Python and SQL) and the ability to pick up whatever a problem demands.
- Excellent communication — you can take a customer executive from confusion to confidence, and explain a complex model to a non-technical room.
- Comfort with ambiguity, direct customer contact, and the pace of a team that ships.
- Bonus: experience with agentic / LLM-based systems, or building ML in production.
- ideally with depth in forecasting, optimisation, or supply-chain / pricing.
