About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to support and continuously improve quality systems within our machining operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that machined components meet dimensional, cosmetic, and functional requirements through robust quality control processes, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer will work closely with manufacturing, CNC machining, tooling, suppliers, and engineering teams to drive production quality, reduce defects, and support new product launches. The Quality Engineer serves as the primary quality support for machining operations, partnering with production supervisors, CNC operators, manufacturing engineers, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues and improve process performance.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills utilizing Root Cause Analysis methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and PFMEA.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMM systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a machining or metal manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), APQP, PPAP, and production launch activities.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes including CNC turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and secondary operations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and critical product characteristics.
  • Experience with CMM programming, dimensional inspection methods, and measurement systems analysis (MSA).
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and process validation.
