About the role
Providing students in classroom activities using specific materials/methods designed by the special education teacher and support personnel. Collaborate with teachers and support personnel for the purpose of assisting in the evaluation of students’ progress and/or implementing students’ objectives. Assist in the implementation and follow through of physical and behavior management programs. Supervise individual students, classroom, library, playground activities providing a safe and positive learning environment. Assist students with self-help skills, including personal care such as lifting/positioning, feeding, bathroom needs and personal hygiene.
