About the role
The Driver is responsible for the safe, reliable, and on-time transportation of home health aides between central pickup locations and client homes across assigned routes. This role is essential to ensuring uninterrupted patient care by getting the right aides to the right locations on schedule every day. The Driver operates with professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety, serving as a key link in ACH's care delivery chain.
What you'll bring
- Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of Long Island roadways and traffic patterns, particularly across Hamptons and Suffolk County.
- Ability to follow schedules, manifests, and dispatch instructions with precision and reliability.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate in real time with dispatch and coordination staff.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to maintain composure under time-sensitive conditions.
- Offer contingent on MVR completion
- Defensive Driving Course and/or Driving Safety Training required
- Safe and defensive driving practices.
- Time management and schedule adherence.
- Real-time problem solving and adaptability to changing conditions.
- Clear and professional communication with dispatch and team members.
- Attention to detail in following routes, manifests, and protocols.
