About the role
The Director of Human Resources serves as the strategic leader of ACCC’s Human Resource function and a trusted advisor to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Leadership Team. This role is responsible for developing and executing people strategies that support ACCC’s mission, organizational growth, operational excellence, and employee experience. The Director leads all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, organizational development, leadership coaching, workforce planning, and HR operations. This position balances strategic leadership with operational execution while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service. This position requires on-site presence at the Newton, MA headquarters four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience advising senior leaders on employee relations, organizational development and talent strategy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
- Experience supporting nonprofit or financial services organizations.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or comparable HRIS.
- Experience leading organizational change and process improvement.
- Familiarity with EOS or similar business operating systems.
