About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide support to current students served by the TRIO Student Support Services program to improve their probability of success so that they will retain from semester to semester, persist until graduation and, if applicable, have positive transfer experiences. This is a grant funded position through the U.S. Department of Education, with the potential for continuous funding for five years, and the ability to apply for additional funding thereafter. • Education:   Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Experience:   Requires three years of experience providing academic and personal advising/coaching in a college setting
• Skills:   Applicant should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• The role requires a student-centered approach, with outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to effectively guide and support students through academic planning and decision-making.
