About the role
The Flight Controls Mechanical Hydraulics Design & Analysis Engineer will support the development of one of the following sub-teams within the Flight Controls Mechanical Hydraulics team: Primary Flight Control Systems, High Lift Systems, Flight Control Electronics, Hydraulic Systems, Landing Gear Actuation and Steering Systems, Brake Control Systems. This requisition is seeking accomplished, self-motivated mid-career and senior engineers to design, analyze, test, certify, and support flight control and mechanical hydraulic systems and components (e.g. mechanical and hydraulic actuators [linear and rotary], electro-mechanical valves, hydraulic valves, sensors [LVDTs, RVDTs, Resolvers], gearboxes, torque tubes, electronic control units, and more) for the 787 family of aircraft as well as to support the production and fleet operations of this equipment.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
- Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience working in an engineering field.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10%.
- Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 3/4 - Experience mentoring and developing others.
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Hydraulic systems.
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace related role.
- 5+ years of experience working in 3D visualization toolsets.
- 5+ years of experience with component/system/airplane FAA/EASA certification.
- 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- 5+ years of experience in Flight Controls or Mechanical Hydraulic systems engineering roles.
