What you'll bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in explosives plant operations, coatings and finishing, chemical inspection or chemical laboratory analysis
  • Minimum of Diploma (or equivalent) in Chemical Technology, Explosives Technology, Material Science or a related field
  • Certified Chemical Technician (American Chemical Society or equivalent)
  • NACE / AMPP Certification in Coatings Inspection or Cathodic Protection
  • Hazardous Materials Handling Certification (HazMat, OSHA standards)
  • Certified Explosives Operator / Specialist Training (e.g. IME, SAFEX)
  • Excellent communication skills and motivation to engage and inspire trainees (A CEFR B1 ability in English is required).
  • Enhanced security clearance will be required.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Troubleshooting and process optimization in explosives plants, coatings application, masking, inspection and failure analysis in defense settings, surface preparation and chemical finishing quality control, thermochemical analysis and material characterization techniques.
  • Prior teaching or training experience in a technical or vocational setting.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, PGCE, or equivalent).
