About the role
Concrete Form Worker We are currently seeking Experienced Concrete Workers for concrete projects located in Saskatoon. Duties include (but are not limited to): • Build, erect and align forms for various concrete structures and pier foundations utilizing bar-paneled concrete forming systems. • Install rebar and tie rebar. • Dismantle concrete forms. • Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces using power grinder, etc. • Provide assistance to other workers and foreman as necessary. • Perform rough levelling and shaping of concrete surfaces. • Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency. • Perform the setting of anchor bolts for foundations. • Physical tasks, including sweeping, lifting, shoveling, wheelbarrowing, and moving heavy materials • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed • Actively participate in all safety meetings • General site housekeeping Required Skills: • Previous concrete formwork experience is required • Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers, carb saws, etc. • Ability to work long hours (10+ hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions • Physical able to perform heavy manual tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving heavy materials up to 50lbs • Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner • Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day • Positive attitude / team player • Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction Hourly wage: $28-$40 (based on experience)
