About the role
The Director, Clinical Trial Finance will lead financial planning and oversight of clinical trial activities, including accruals, in support of the company’s development portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director, FP&A, this role serves as a key strategic partner to Clinical Operations, Development, FP&A, and Accounting, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and actionable insights to inform decision-making. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in advancing a global, publicly traded biotech company’s pipeline and supporting the successful execution of clinical programs.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years of finance experience, including 7+ years in increasingly responsible roles within finance and accounting, with significant experience supporting clinical trials in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Deep industry experience with strong understanding of clinical development, industry dynamics, and key financial drivers.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance, with deep expertise in accrual accounting and clinical trial financial management, including contracts and CRO oversight.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting capabilities, including scenario planning and analysis.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
