About the role

The Steamboat Childcare Center (SCCC) is hiring Early Childhood Substitute teachers. Early Childhood Subs will support Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers with the education, supervision, and care of children at the SCCC. Join this amazing team today! Early Childhood Subs will substitute for Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers when they are on vacation, sick, or in case of unplanned absences throughout the year. SCCC subs are expected to commit to 2 full days or 3 half-days per week plus a monthly staff meeting. Housing is not available through this position. Resume required.

What you'll bring

• Must demonstrate an interest in young children and a concern for their proper care and well-being.
• Flexibility to care for children of all ages birth-5 years
• Knowledge of child development and willingness to stay up to date with current best practices
• Ability to maintain professional communication with parents, supervisors, Early Childhood Teachers, and Assistant Early Childhood Teachers
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor under stressful situations.
• Must communicate clearly (written and oral) in English.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Willing to train the right person
• The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position.
• Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
• The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees.
